Trekking gorillas at Nkuringo, Bwindi, Uganda
Nkuringo is a community located in the southern sector of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, in the present day Kisoro district, south western Uganda. Nkuringo is a gorilla tracking point not far away from the Rushaga sector. The gorillas in Nkuringo have gone through the habituation process and are open for tracking.
Tourists can enter Bwindi national park to see the gorilla via the Nkuringo station of Uganda Wildlife Authority. Unlike Rushaga which is about 35kms from Kisoro town, Nkururingo is much further from Kisoro, with a few kilometres north of northwest of Rushaga.
