Visitors to most countries are required to possess a valid tourist visa before traveling or apply for the visa on arrival at the port of entry. Similarly, visitors to Uganda and Rwanda are required to have tourist visas. The East Africa Tourist Visa, which costs USD100, allows multiple entries to three countries of Uganda, Rwanda, and Kenya. Tanzania and Burundi are not subscribers to the East Africa tourist visa treaty.
For those planning to visit at least two or all countries in the group of Uganda, Kenya, and Rwanda on the same trip, consider applying for the East Africa tourist visa. In Uganda, you can apply for the East Africa tourist visa online or on arrival at Entebbe airport. Likewise, if Rwanda is the first country of entry, the East Africa tourist visa is either obtained online before coming to Rwanda or purchased on arrival at Kigali airport.
