5 Day - Gorilla Tracking and Chimp Safari
The best highlights for this trip is the encounter with the great apes in their forest home. Upon transferring from Kampala to Kibale, the experience will start with a chimpanzee walk early morning where you are also likely to see other primates especially monkeys and other species of birds. In the afternoon, you will visit Bigodi swamp, which is sanctuary for many endemic bird species. You will also see for yourself how the local community has contributed to the conservation of the wetland.
The gorilla trekking tour will take you to Bwindi impenetrable national park in south western Uganda, a UNESCO world heritage site and an important birding area. The gorilla trek will start early in the morning with a short briefing from park guides on how to conduct yourself as you encounter the "endangered species." The trek in the jungles of Bwindi can take between 5 and 9 hours depending on the areas where you find the gorillas.

The itinerary:
- Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Kibale National Park. You will leave Kampala in the early morning and travel west wards to Kibale. Overnight at Kibale Forest Lodge
- Day 2: Chimpanzee trek in Kibale. The chimp walk will start early in the morning and in the afternoon, you will visit Bigodi swamp for bird watching and other biodiversity identification.
- Day 3: Transfer to Kisoro/Bwindi area. You will drive from Kibale to Kisoro/Bwindi in the morning via Queen Elizabeth National Park. The journey will take between 7 and 9 hours. Overnight at Travelers Rest Hotel in Kisoro town.
- Day 4: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park. You will take early morning breakfast and at 6am you leave for Nkuringo or Rushaga in the southern sector Bwindi for gorilla trekking adventure.
- Day 5: Transfer to Kampala. The trip will end with a 8-9hr ride to Kampala. You will have a stop ever at the Equator crossing where you be leaving the southern hemisphere and entering the northern hemisphere.
