Gorilla permits are discounted at 10% by Uganda Wildlife Authority in April, May and November 2017. This means that the gorilla permit is $450 instead of the regular rate of $600. The discounted rates are to be suspended from January 2018.
YOU MENTION THAT YOU ARE A LOW COST TOUR COMPANY, WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?
Bamboo Ecotours is a local company based in Kisoro town adjacent to Bwindi national park. We understand the Uganda tourist market very well, we do our best to offer low cost tours at the same time keeping high quality services for our clients. For instance, we negotiate for lower accommodation rates in order to attract clients who may not afford an expensive safari.
what is the distance between kisoro town and southern sector of Bwindi (rushaga & nkuringo)
The distance between Kisoro and Rushaga gorilla tracking point is about 35kms. On the other hand, Nkuringo the other section with gorillas on the southern side of Bwindi, is about 45kms from Kisoro town. Plan about 2.5hrs drive from Kisoro to Nkuringo, especially given the rough roads between the two places.
